Converting a MS Office Doc to Google

How to convert an Excel, Word, or Powerpoint to a Google Doc

  1. Go to drive.google.com 

  2. Upload the file to Google Drive in the web interface by clicking on the red upward facing arrow on the left side

  3. Right click on the uploaded file > Open as > select the appropriate Google application for the type of file you uploaded and it will open the file in a new window as a Google formatted document.
